Caroline Donaghy
Director of Defence at ADS
Caroline has over 17 years’ experience in roles demanding high levels of strategic leadership, analysis, policy development, team management and stakeholder engagement in line with commercial goals. She has worked in leading multinationals, consultancy as well as for politicians on an array of topics including defence, security and aviation. Caroline joined ADS as Defence Director in April 2020 and is a member of the executive team. She leads ADS’s work in the Defence sector, engaging across a matrix of stakeholders to ensure the voice of the sector is heard. In addition to providing strategic leadership to the ADS Defence team, Caroline works closely with the Vice President of the Defence Sector and serves as a key point of contact to all ADS Defence members. She represents ADS members views to Ministry of Defence and other Government departments, liaising on policies, processes and practices on a wide array of topics.
Aimie Stone
Senior Economist at ADS
As ADS Group’s Senior Economist, Aimie leads on all ADS procurement, production and dissemination of industry and economic data. In a cross-sector role, Aimie leads on providing evidence to policy issues, including tax, customs and international trade. Lead on a range of key issues including impacts of COVID-19 and the UK’s future relationship with the EU and other future trade arrangements. Prior to ADS, Aimie has a background working for trade bodies representing interests of the both automotive and food and drink manufacturing sectors, providing a similar role in evidencing policy positions with economic analysis and supporting on customs and trade issues.
Brinley Salzmann
Director, Overseas & Export at ADS
Brinley joined the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA), at first on a temporary basis, in July 1985, having graduated from Sheffield University with a BA in Ancient History & Classical Civilisation. He worked for the DMA in a number of roles, before being appointed to the position of Exports Director in June 1999. In October 2009, on the creation of ADS through the merger of the DMA, APPSS and SBAC, he became the new organisation’s Director - Overseas & Exports.
The vast majority of his work at present constitutes providing ethical, offset, industrial participation and export controls-related help, advice and assistance to British companies. In this capacity he acts as Secretary to the Export Group for Aerospace, Defence & Dual-Use (EGADD), the Business Ethics Network (BEN), the Defence Export Strategy Group (DESG), and the British Industrial Participation & Offset Group (BIPOG) special interest groups.
As Secretary to EGADD, he tries to provide help and advice to companies on export control matters and liaises closely with the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU), Ministry of Defence (UK), Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), Department for International Development (DfID) and Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC), as well as with other Industry bodies and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). He is also a Member of the Board of the London Trade Roundtable (LTR) as well as of the Export Control Profession (ECP).
Abhishek Kishore
Managing Director - Global EASE International at OCR Services
Abhishek Kishore is the Managing Director - Global EASE International Practice at OCR Services where he is responsible for expanding OCR's footprint in the international markets. Previously, Abhishek served as the Deputy Country Head - India at the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC), U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he was responsible for Council-wide policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement initiatives in the U.S.-India corridor for leading US and Indian companies. Along with that, he also focused on the Digital Economy domain, advising several technology companies (global U.S. and Indian IT leaders, e-commerce and fintech innovators) on government policies and regulatory frameworks.
Prior to USIBC, he was based in Los Angeles helping a big data analytics startup expand its business in the Southern California region. Abhishek has previously worked for major companies including Infosys Technologies, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Forrester Research in India as well as in the United States for several years. Abhishek is a computer science engineer by training and has a Master of International Business (MIB) degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University in Boston.
