OVERVIEW: This webinar will provide an overview of the DDTC agreement application process, and the internal DDTC licensing process to include Congressional Notifications. It will provide participants with a better understanding of the key USG stakeholders involved in the Direct Commercial Sales process. In addition, it will offer guidance on how to better determine approval timelines for ITAR authorizations processed through DDTC.

Swingle Pic1ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Steven Swingle serves as the Strategy and Training Director for Globaleyes, a consulting firm specializing in import and export regulations. Prior to joining Globaleyes in November of 2015, Steven was a Senior Defense Analyst and Political/Military Affairs Officer and provided supervisory oversight over all military officers conducting inter-agency and intergovernmental coordination under the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). He was the Senior Agreements Officer and was assigned to the Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Division within the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), Department of State from July 2011 to October 2015. In addition, Steve was DDTC’s primary Industry Outreach Officer on the Agreements process and was recognized by the Society for International Affairs as the Government Speaker of the year for 2013.
